3. to be watchful, cautious, vigilant (in order to avoid danger, prevent an unpleasant occurrence, protect one's interests etc): смотри в оба ≈ keep your (both) eyes open; be on your guard; be on the lookout; watch out; don't let your guard down; be careful.
